Catching human stories from rusty stains of objects is fascinating. I focused on trash or shabby things around me. So the motifs of my paintings were such as leftover breakfast, a truck full of construction waste, or subway wheels with dirt. Expressions of those things in the city mirror what I think humans have in daily lives. Therefore I see the face of a father who has had a tough day to an innocent child within objects. I adore those, a bit harsh but in some way ridiculous faces. I, as a person who creates images, want to cheer people up using familiar motifs with beautiful colors.
